Update on Greenfuel Technologies

By MB-BigB | June 17, 2006

My very first post on this blog was a blurb about Greenfuel Technologies, because I thought that concept sounded great. I haven’t seen much news from them lately - they are in the middle of conducting various pilot programs. Somehow I missed a post last month from The Energy Blog where they describe the latest venture of Greenfuel - a joint initiative with NRG Energy to study carbon dioxide recycling. Site of the test will be NRG’s Dunkirk plant, a coal fired power plant located in upstate New York.

Why isn’t algal energy being pitched as (eventually) lowering electric bills?
