GM developing Plug-In Hybrid?

According to a story in today’s LA Times, GM is developing a hybrid-electric vehicle with a battery that can be recharged at any outlet. This plug-in hybrid, which is currently in testing, may be ready to be unveiled at the next Detroit Auto Show in January. Said to get over 60 MPG, commerical production would be at least a year away.
