Grants for Solar Nanotechnology Research

By MB-BigB | October 17, 2006

Today’s news brings word of a couple of grants to US Universities for nanotech research into solar energy.

The college of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University of Albany will use a $1.9 million grant to create an “energy test farm” to develop and test nanomaterials and nanoelectronics for use in clean energy technologies.

Also, at Arizona State University, scientists Rudy Diaz and Stuart Lindsey will use a 3 year $1.1 million research grant to create nanoscale devices for higher efficiency solar energy and photonics applications.
