General Motors to Build Hybrids in China in 2008
By MB-BigB | November 12, 2006
More hybrid news from GM. Yesterday we saw the reports of General Motors unveiling a prototype plug-in hybrid, and today we hear reports that GM is planning on building hybrids in China by 2008 at the Shanghai GM plant, a joint venture with the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation.
The announcement did not specify which hybrid car or system would be used, but GM currently is developing a non-plugin hybrid with DaimlerChrysler and BMW.
