UK announces world’s largest wind farms

Britain just announced that they have given the go-ahead for two offshore wind power farms in the Thames Estuary. One of the wind power farms will be the world’s biggest when it’s completed.

The consortium developing the project is made up of Shell WindEnergy Ltd, E.ON UK Renewables and Core Ltd. The two wind farms will provide enough electricity to power about one million households. Read the BBC article at this link.
