USA Today: States work to reduce global warming

USA Today details some of the actions that US States are doing on their own and collectively to reduce greenhouse gases and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
“But not all states are on board. No states in the South and only a handful in the Midwest have formed coalitions to reduce global warming even though those states house some of the nation’s worst power plants for emitting greenhouse gases. That’s why Congress needs to pass legislation to reduce global warming emissions nationwide, environmentalists say.”
