By MB-BigB | September 11, 2007

Mitsubishi i MiEv Sport

Mitsubishi Motors Corp will be showing off a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show this fall that uses both solar and wind power. With one charge of electricity, the i MiEv Sport will have a range of about 200 kilometers (125 miles). The maximum speed is about 180 kilometers per hour (or 110 miles per hour).

The car has a solar cell panel attached to the roof to help recharge the battery. It also hase a fan in the front air intake system that will also generate electricity when the car is moving. The solar and wind power generation is just a supplemental source of power - the car will still have to be charged through an outlet.
