Senate passes renewable energy bill

By MB-BigB | September 25, 2008

I was going to write about the Senate passing a bill to expand and encourage investment in renewable energy, but Ecogeek.org has a nice synopsis of the bill, so just go there instead.   The House gets to put their spin on the bill next, so we’ll see what happens with that. Hopefully the House will come up with something similar so the final bill doesn’t get all tied up in knots. President Bush has indicated that he will sign the legislation.  The biggest part of the bill is the extension of solar tax credits for 10 years - previous bills had only extended the tax credits for a year or two at a time.  Makes it kind of hard to plan ahead.
