The first paragraph is somewhat misleading - Hybrid harbinger
“Just as Toyota is starting to sell hybrid versions of its popular Camry sedan, U.S. sales trends of Toyota’s groundbreaking Prius hybrid are slowing for the first time since consumer demand surged more than two years ago.”
Turns out that the reason for the drop in Prius sales is because Toyota is making less Prius’s this year compared to last. That’s because they are now making the hybrid Camry on the same production line as the Prius. This situation will change later this year when Toyota begins cranking out Camry hybrids at its production plant in Georgetown, KY.
