Iowa adding to Wind Power Portfolio

A new wind power farm has gone into operation in western Iowa, producing enough electricity to power the homes of about 40,000 Iowa customers. MidAmerican Energy’s Victory wind project consists of 66 wind turbines and generates about 99 megawatts. Construction began on the project just last spring.

Wind Turbines in New Mexico Sending Power to Arizona

On Friday, The Arizona Public Service Co starting receiving power from wind power turbines located in New Mexico. The 20 year agreement between APS and the Aragonne Mesa Wind Farm in eastern New Mexico will send 5 megawatts of wind generated power into Arizona, enough to power about 25,000 homes. [...]

UK announces world’s largest wind farms
