SportTruck.com road tests the 2009 Chevy Silverado Hybrid
By MB-BigB | July 19, 2009
If you need a pickup truck but are looking for much better gas mileage than you would normally get, you might be interested in getting one of the new 2009 Chevy Silverado Hybids. SportTruck.com has just road tested one of the Silverado Hybrids and had posted a very detailed review of it. The Silverado Hybrid is rated at 21 mpg city and 22 mpg highway, certainly alot better than non-hybrid pickups. Hauling capacity isn’t dimished by the hybrid technology either.
“During our time with the Silverado Hybrid, we drove it hauling nothing but air, and loaded with about 1,200 pounds in the bed, and hooked to a 5,550-pound trailer. The truck did everything we asked of it and never seemed bothered by anything we asked. We were concerned that the extra 300 pounds of batteries would hurt the truck’s ride and handling, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. GM engineers did put a new hydraulic body-to-frame mount under the cab to help manage the additional mass, and the improvement in ride was so noticeable that they’re now using that new mount on all GM Crew Cabs, hybrid and non-hybrid.”

Nice post. Chevrolet Silverado is a hybrid truck. In terms of feature its very nice like 6.0 liter V-8 engine pumping out 332 bhp at 367 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet Silverado is powered by a 300-volt nickel-metal-hydride battery. Silverado layout is standard, they only available in a short- bed crew cab configuration. Chevrolet Silverado mileage is an impressive. INterior are also nice. For more details refer http://www.macktruck.org/chevrolet-silverado-hybrid-review.html
