Dyson engineers working on electric car designs

By MB-BigB | June 25, 2008

Sir James Dyson, inventor of those cool looking Dyson bagless vacuum cleaners you’ve probably seen advertised on TV , has his engineers working on developing a lightweight powerful electric motor that could greatly expand the range of electric cars.  Dyson sees his cars powered by solar panels on the roof of the cars or on garages.  Dyson has lots of experience in motor design.   The motor in his vacuums weighs about half of what a similar sized motor does, and turns much faster than similar motors.
